Scrutineering & Shakedown
Two days are planned to get all team-members ready to race and do some fine tuning of ‘our gear’.
Scrutineering
All crew members, including drivers, navigators and mechanics are checked before they can participate in the rally.
With a thorough checkup of all documents, health and safety checks we passed with flying colours.
After, the second fase of scrutineering, all vehicles also passed the tests and we are ready to race!
‘Shakedown’
During a ‘shakedown run’ it’s all about the details and feeling of the drivers…
Drivers push the trucks to their limits and go pedal to the medal on Moroccan soil. Afterwards our expert mechanics listen closely to what the driver had experienced and adjust and adapt settings for better handling and performance.
👀 Janus had ‘all senses in high alert mode’ before he starts his first few meters driving in Morocco.
Immediately the truck handled very well and few settings needed to be changed.
With our excellent tire-inflation-system and ‘rolling’ on world’s best-made-rubber for these environments, we had little to fear. 💪🏼
The Morocco Desert Challenge will continue for the next week and the finish will be in Merzouga on Sunday, April 30. On the website of the organization there is the possibility to follow the match through live tracking.
